TNT wouldn’t be here without our volunteers.  As the saying goes “It takes a village!”

We are always looking for volunteers to fill the following positions:

Board Members: Our board members are the backbone to the TNT program. Board members  attend monthly meetings to plan, organize and upkeep our ever changing program. They make financial decisions and take on various tasks to keep our wheels spinning. Board members plan and oversee the structure of the program and resolve issues while ensuring all decisions promote positive growth that is based on rider needs and community feedback.

Volunteers Coordinator: Volunteer coordinators do just that. Coordinate volunteers! We continuously have parents, teachers and community members stepping up to fill various roles within our program. We need someone who is willing to be the liaison between volunteers, coaches and the board to place help where it is needed most.

Trail Stewardship Coordinator: Promoting trail stewardship is a high priority within TNT. It’s one of the ways we give back to our community. Trail stewardship volunteers would work with our Trails Stewardship Coordinator to collaborate with local organizations such as Truckee Trails Foundation, Truckee Donner Land Trust, TAMBA, the Truckee Bike Park, Tahoe Donner Association, Truckee Ranger District/Tahoe National Forest, and other organizations to perform team trail maintenance days and help orchestrate our Adopt a Trail program that is already in place. TNT has the tools, we just need the plans!

Social Media Coordinator (AVAILABLE!): Our Social media coordinator would be the contact for coaches, riders and board members to send media, event announcements and pictures to to be posted weekly to our social media sites (i.e. Facebook, Instagram and Twitter). Along with posting images weekly, this coordinator would be in charge of passing media to our website coordinator to ensure that our site stays fresh with up-to-date images and information.

Apparel Coordinator (AVAILABLE!): The apparel coordinator would be in charge of keeping up our apparel relationship with Hyperthreads or other companies, arranging pre-season apparel sample days for riders to try on apparel before ordering, manage and set order deadlines and act as the liaison between the apparel companies and TNT board and coaches.

Fundraising Activities Coordinator: TNT is a non-profit so therefore, fundraising is an integral part of our budget. We need volunteers with fresh fundraiser ideas that can help set plans that sustain and grow the financial stability our program. This could include community as well as team fundraisers. Fundraiser coordinator would take the lead role in planning and carrying out these events.

Bike Shop Liaison/Coordinator (AVAILABLE!): These volunteers would be one of the faces in our local bike shops that helps build and maintain TNT’s relationship. These volunteers would make sure that our bike shop sponsorship packages are up to date and beneficial for the shops, riders and coaches. They communicate with sponsor shops and teams/coaches/board to help meet the needs of all.

Sponsor/Donor Coordinator: Our community is what keeps TNT running with their generous contributions to our program. These coordinators should be an outgoing, positive people who can promote our sponsorship package in our community. This involves asking for donations from individuals, business owners, and other large organizations in return for reasonable marketing and advertising by TNT.

Team Parent (AVAILABLE!): We could use a lot of team parents! Team parents would “adopt” a TNT team and coordinate with the coach to fulfill needs such as race day support, organizing food/bbqs, organizing carpools, team pictures or whatever team tasks the coach cannot juggle. Again, it takes a village and it’s always wonderful to have parents we can count on to help with whatever tasks are at hand.
